RALEIGH - According to Raleigh Police, they are investigating a suspect who possibly robbed the Pleasant Valley Road Blockbuster video store twice in just two days.

The department says that it is also possible that the same suspect also robbed an Exxon gas station on Glenwood Avenue.

"At this time, it cannot be positively established that the same suspect is responsible for all three robberies," said Jim Sughrue of the Raleigh Police Department in a statement to press.  "However, there are similarities between the way the crimes were committed and between the suspect description in each case."

Police say that shortly before noon on Friday March 16th, the suspect entered an Exxon gas station at 6712 Glenwood Avenue and then showed a knife and robbed the store.

Detectives are also investigating two robberies at a Blockbuster video store on Pleasant Valley Road.

Police say that before 11am on Saturday March 24th, a suspect entered the Blockbuster video store at 4112 Pleasant Valley Road and produced a knife before robbing the store.

Evidently, he returned to the scene of the crime again.  Police say that shortly before midnight on Monday March 26th the store was robbed again by a suspect who brandished a gun and then robbed the store.

Raleigh Police describe the suspect in each case is described as a black male about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds and is believed to be in his mid-twenties in age.

Police are asking that anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at (919) 890-3555. ::
