::Raleigh Hit With Wave Of Home Burglaries

RALEIGH - The Raleigh Police Department is says that in the past month, at least eight residential burglaries took place in the northeast part of the city during March.
Police don't know if the crimes are connected, but say that similar methods of operation were used in the break-ins.
"While it can not be said with certainty that the crimes are related, similarities exist among them," said Jim Sughrue of the Raleigh Police Department.
All of the homes residences were broken into between March 8th and March 30th, says the department. Property was stolen from
each location and the homes were "ransacked."
According to police, all but one of the incidents are known to have taken place late in the week on Thursday or Friday. In addition, all of the burglaries were done during daytime hours, when residents were not home.
Police say that the break-ins have taken place on Englefield Drive, Farmington Grove Drive, Lake Ridge Drive, Cardinal Grove Boulevard, Spring Pines Way, Brimfield Court, and Coventry Ridge Drive.
The Raleigh Police are seeking clues as to the identity of the burglars or any otrher information that might assist the investigation of the cases. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division
