::Big Auction Being Held For Raleigh Animals

RALEIGH - Three local animal groups will be holding a benefit auction to help raise money for animal rescue efforts.
Best Friend Pet Adoption, Snowflake Animal Rescue, and Marley's Cat Tales join forces for their "Auction for Animals" which will be held Saturday, April 21st at 5pm at the Raleigh Auction Gallery at 4900-A Craftsman Drive.
"Teamwork and a united front will enable us to serve more animals and we look forward to raising $20,000 to be split among our groups to help us continue our efforts," said Carol deOlloqui, Marley's Cat Tales Director.
The three rescue groups have collected over 207 items from local businesses and community patrons for the last several months and are expecting a large turnout at the event. Items include furniture, electronics, collectibles, artwork, pet items and much more. All of the items can be viewed beforehand at raleighauction.com.
The groups say that the event is not only an auction but a celebration of the milestones of the three groups and their efforts to unite to help the homeless animals of North Carolina.
The event will mark the first year in service for Marley's Cat Tales and will celebrate its continued strive to help felines with special needs as well as other non-infected felines.
Marley's Cat Tales is part of The Marley Fund, which is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to striking back at feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline AIDS (FIV) through awareness and educational means. It founded the first safe haven for animals with FeLV in 2004 and has expanded to host a foster program for additional animals in the Triangle areaMarley's Cat Tales.
