::SNL's Colin Quinn Coming To Raleigh

RALEIGH - Well-known comedian Colin Quinn will be visiting Raleigh this week as he headlines at the Charlie Goodnight's Comedy Club downtown. He will be doing shows at the club from this Thursday April 19th through Sunday April 22nd.
Quinn is known for his raspy voice and quick talking. He is well-known as a recent host of Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update faux newscast and also he was also a writer on the show.
Early MTV channel fans will remember Quinn as the host of the popular game show called "Remote Control" where contestants sat in recliners and answered questions until everyone but the winner was zoomed away in their chairs through the wall.
That show sprung him to a new level of popularity and he later hosted his own MTV show, "Colin Quinn's Manly World," which was a sports/comedy show.
Other TV work included hosting "Caroline's Comedy Hour," a weekly show on the A&E network that showcased comics. His most recent TV work was on Comedy Central with a show called "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn" which ran last year and featured a somewhat disorganized and zany round table discussion on events in the news.
His movie work has included movies such as "Who's the Man?", "Married to the Mob", "The Roxbury" and most recently, "Comedian." Quinn also says in his bio that he wrote the screenplay for Celtic Pride.. Colin and was an associate producer on the project
