::"Security" Man Seen At Murder Scene

RALEIGH - According to the Raleigh Police, just after noon on Friday, police officers responded to a "shots fired" call on Sunbow Falls Lane in Raleigh and when they arrived, they found a man who had been shot outside an apartment building.
Police say that the victim, who was later named as Timothy David Barnwell, age 34, was transported to WakeMed, where police say he was pronounced dead on arrival. According to police, Barnwell lived in the apartment complex on Sunbow Falls Lane.
According to Raleigh Police spokesman Jim Sughrue, a suspect was seen leaving the scene of the crime who was wearing a "security" shirt.
Police say the suspect is described as
being a black male with medium skin tone standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 to 170 pounds.
According to witnesses, Sughrue said the suspect was "well groomed" and was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a dark-colored shirt with the word "SECURITY" in white letters on the front and a dark colored jacket that was slightly longer than waist length, and dark colored "cargo" style pants.
Police say the suspect fled the scene in a
medium-size burgundy car. No motive or other details were released.
