DURHAM - In a letter to the editor, a Durham family is asking for help in the robbery of their 18 year old daughter in the Bragtown area of Durham.
My 18 year old daughter was robbed today around 1 o'clock on August 17th on Specter Street near the intersection of Specter Street and Britania Avenue, behind the Bragtown Post office in Durham.
The suspects were two females, one medium built, all in black and one heavy-set, dressed in a red shirt and black capri pants.
My daughter works third shift at Target near SouthPoint and was cashing her check
after getting off the bus in Bragtown at Wal-Mart.
Apparently the two females witnessed her cashing her check at the customer service desk and followed her across Roxboro Rd in thier car.
After my daughter walked through the Bragtown Post office parking lot and got on Specter Street, she notice the two females following her, they then asked "give me five dollars b****".
She then started running towards my house less than a block away on Britannia Ave.
They caught her, knocked her down and took her backpack and when the great people at Bordeaux Construction came out and screamed, they ran back to thier car and drove off.
The police where called and uniformed
officers came out and told me after some digging around at WalMart that they
had the females on surveillance cameras watching and following my daughter.
If you think in cooperation with the police you can help find these people, please do.
Signed, Donald Morton
